To re-create the Cobram Air Races and honour my Father's contrbution to competition flying this event was scheduled for June at VMAA State Field Melbourne. Right hand circuits initiated to increase safety were published in the rules six months earlier. One month out pilots refused to enter unless the circuit direction was changed. Event handed over to Large Scale Racing Club which later cancelled due to a weather forecast

I then pitched the event to the PDARCS committee but my credentials were deemed somewhat lacking to conduct an event at this field
